New Electric Cars Coming in India: Festive Season 2026
The festive season is here, and car companies are getting ready to launch new models. Here are the electric cars you may see in the coming weeks. Some dates are not final and can change.
Already launched: Tata Sierra EV
If you want a mid-price electric SUV right now, look at the Tata Sierra EV. It started at ₹18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata says its biggest battery gives up to 665 km of range on the MIDC test.
Volvo EX90 and ES90 (12 October)
These two luxury electric cars launch on 12 October 2026. The price will be shared on launch day.
Tata Safari EV (expected in festive season or by December)
This will be the first 3-row electric SUV from Tata. It is expected to use the same platform as the Harrier EV. Early guesses for the price are between ₹22 lakh and ₹32 lakh. Tata has not shared the official price.
VinFast VF3 (date not confirmed)
The VF3 is a small and cheap electric SUV. Reports say it may cost under ₹10 lakh and give a range of about 215 km. Its launch date has changed many times, so wait for the official news.
Hyundai compact electric SUV (expected in December)
Hyundai plans a smaller electric SUV for India. It is expected to be cheaper than the Creta Electric. Details are not out yet.
What should you do before booking?
- Wait for the official price. Do not pay a booking amount based on guesses.
- Compare the new car with cars already on sale.
- Ask the dealer about the delivery time.
