Japanese carmaker Honda has officially confirmed that it will host the India debut for its brand-new electric SUV, the Honda 0 Alpha, on December 2, 2026. The company first showcased as a prototype at the Japan Mobility Show, this upcoming model marks Honda's major entry into the competitive Indian electric vehicle market. Built locally in India, the SUV will cater to domestic buyers while also serving as an export hub for international markets.

The production version of the Honda 0 Alpha is expected to feature a spacious, boxy design language with dimensions similar to the popular Honda Elevate. Thanks to a dedicated electric platform and flat floor layout, the cabin promises extra legroom and comfortable seating for families. Leaked shots from testing indicate a clean dashboard layout dominated by a large landscape-oriented central touchscreen, a digital driver display, and modern touch-based climate controls.

While official specifications regarding battery capacity, pricing, and exact driving ranges are set to be announced during the December debut, industry reports expect the SUV to feature a battery pack ranging between 60 kWh and 70 kWh. This setup is anticipated to deliver a claimed driving range of over 400 km on a single full charge, making it a strong contender against popular rivals like the Hyundai Creta Electric.
