Why are electric scooters growing?
Petrol is costly, and a scooter is cheap to run. Many people use a scooter every day for office, college or shopping, so the saving adds up quickly. Brands also now offer longer battery warranties and more service centres.
Buying tips for an electric scooter
- Ask for the real range in city traffic. It is usually lower than the claimed range.
- Check the battery warranty and what it covers.
- Find the nearest service centre before you buy.
- Check the final price, including insurance and registration.
- Make sure you can charge at home with a normal socket.
